This 5 Days Lake Mburo, Queen Elizabeth and Uganda Gorillas Tour is an amazing safari tour. It will take you to the most visited Ugandan national parks to meet the world’s unique mountain gorillas in Bwindi, the rare tree climbing lions, Queen Elizabeth safaris and wildlife viewing in Lake Mburo National Park. These destinations are located in the South Western region of Uganda, famous for its incredible natural beauty. This trip can be modified to include a chimpanzee trek in Kyambura Gorge and a boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi. Please note.

Day 1: Welcome and transfer to Lake Mburo – Afternoon: boat cruise.
Day 2: Morning safari and transfer to Queen.
Day 3: Morning safari and transfer to Bwindi.
Day 4: Trek to meet the gorillas.
Day 5: Departure for Kampala/Entebbe.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome and transfer to Lake Mburo Park – 4 to 5 hours
After breakfast, you will be met by your driver guide at the agreed location in Kampala or Entebbe for transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. You will make a short stop at the equator for a memorable photoshoot and experience water in the middle of the land. You will continue your drive to the park. Upon arrival at the park, you will check in, have lunch and go for a boat ride on Lake Mburo. You will be able to spot a wide variety of animals and water birds along the shores of Lake Mburo. In the evening, return on safari to your lodge. Note that a night safari is possible.

Day 2: Morning safari and transfer to Queen
Morning walk in the park. Wake up early around 6:30 am, have breakfast and prepare for the walk. This experience is more or less like herding a herd of wild animals. Accompanied by a ranger, you will walk through the open grassland with giraffes, zebras, warthogs and other animals. After this experience, you will check out of the hotel and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Arrive early afternoon, check in at the booked safari lodge and have lunch. After lunch, you will embark on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel for a spectacular view of the aquatic wildlife. Birds, hippos, crocodiles, elephants and other animals can be spotted along the banks of the channel. After the cruise, a short game drive on the Kasenyi plains will allow you to spot the wild animals coming out of hiding to have their last meal of the day. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Morning safari and transfer to Bwindi
Wake up early for a safari coffee accompanied by delicious snacks. Departure from the lodge and departure for a safari in the Ishasha sector. From there, you will travel to Bwindi to observe the tree climbing lions and other animals. Upon arrival, you will check in at the lodge. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Trek in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to observe gorillas
After an early breakfast, you will be picked up by your driver guide. With your packed lunch, you will proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing on the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. After the briefing, you will meet the park guide who will lead you to your assigned group of gorillas. The trek can last from 30 minutes to 7 hours depending on the movements of the gorillas in the forest. During the trek, you will have the opportunity to observe other small primates like chimpanzees, black and white monkeys and various remarkable bird species, while listening to the sweet melodies of the birds. Once the gorillas are located, you will have an hour to observe them and take impressive photos and videos. After the trek, you will meet your driver to return to your lodge. Evening of relaxation or visit the Bwindi community.

Day 5: Departure for Kampala/Entebbe airport
Wake up, have breakfast and check out of the lodge. Meet your driver guide for the drive back to Kampala. Along the way, you will be amazed by the rewarding views of the countryside, terraced farmlands and upon arrival in Kampala, your driver guide will drop you off at your hotel or any other recommended location. End of the 5 Days Tour: Lake Mburo, Queen Elizabeth and Uganda Gorillas.
